Duties

1. Menu Planning

Collaborating with clients to create customized menus that meet dietary preferences, restrictions, and event themes. This may include planning meals for daily consumption or special events like weddings, parties, or corporate gatherings.

2. Meal Preparation

Preparing high-quality, nutritious meals. This includes sourcing ingredients, cooking, and presenting dishes. For events, the chef may prepare food on-site or off-site, depending on the venue and client’s needs.

3. Dietary Compliance

Ensuring meals meet any specific dietary needs such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, kosher, or allergy-friendly options.

4. Food Presentation

Paying attention to the aesthetics of food presentation, especially for events where visual appeal is important.

5. Grocery Shopping

Procuring fresh and high-quality ingredients, either by shopping personally or coordinating with suppliers.

6. Kitchen Management

Keeping the kitchen clean and organized, maintaining equipment, and ensuring all food is stored properly.

7. Client Consultation

Regularly communicating with clients to discuss their preferences, adjust menus, and ensure satisfaction.

8. Event Coordination

For personal chefs, delivering prepared meals to the client's home or serving the meals at the client’s location.

Qualification Requirements

Education
